The elegance of the dark colours

2018-08-31 In the past few years, the Nordic style managed to meet the tastes of all customers: white has been an absolute protagonist in bigger and smaller kitchens, characterised by essential geometrical lines.
Kitchens in a more classical style have also been proposed in clearer colours, to mitigate their more elaborate and impressive design, and have been combined with worktops that can reflect the light and amplify the perceived size of spaces.
While customers appreciation over time remained unaltered with regard to this trend, during the Salone del Mobile 2018 another trend emerged, that seems to be in complete contrast: the presence of kitchens characterised by dark colours was significant during Eurocucina 2018, and proposed alternative covering solutions.
Indeed, the many materials used for the kitchens were also presented in darker colours: the warm and intense brown colours of earth, the different shades of grey and the absolute blacks, without reflections or shades.

The presented products provide the interiors with a peculiar visual impact: extremely appreciated by those who love to dare, they can give the environment a touch of sophistication, creating elegant and evocative scenic atmospheres.
The dark shades have mostly been used in industrial or vintage design kitchens, but they have also found their place in more minimalist settings where black, with its timeless elegance, is greatly used, providing even greater rigour and personality to furniture with clean, essential lines.
Dark kitchens define the room: if installed in a sufficiently wide room, and provided with the right level of light, they can represent the bold personality of the host, and show how much they love experimenting.

SapienStone has always been able to understand the new trends and to offer products combining design and functionality. Its colour palette has always included dark colours that can complete and enrich every type of furniture with the most suitable finish.

The requests for a more elegant and bold design are more and more frequent, as they can help the final consumers and the interior designers create environments with unusual atmospheres and surprising colour choices, materials and interior decorations.

SapienStone kitchen countertops are exclusive surfaces that can meet the most different tastes with a solid material and through veins ensuring a uniform design, also in terms of thickness.
Along with the incredibly realistic effect of top quality porcelain stoneware, these products also have endless functional advantages and show the extreme versatility of the countertops: resistance to heat, shocks, scratches and chemical agents and low porosity. This latest characteristics makes the countertop perfect for food preparation, as it prevents the proliferation of bacteria and ensures maximum hygiene.
Finally, the integration of the TPB Tech induction cooker makes the surface completely uniform. This characteristic is further exalted by dark colours and gives to the countertop an extremely elegant look and a surprising effect. Moreover, it ensures that stains and signs are less visible, and makes the surface much easier to clean as compared to other surfaces.
