Chocolate Salami – A Recipe from “Jul’s Kitchen”

2018-04-20 Today, Tuscan blogger Giulia Scarpaleggia invited us to have a snack together.
In her blog Jul’s Kitchen she speaks passionately about her land, Tuscany, which she recounts through simple dishes made with fresh, wholesome ingredients.

“Every recipe is like a magic formula, it helps you recreate an authentic Tuscan atmosphere in your kitchen”

She wanted to prepare something special for us, a dessert that reminds us of when we were children, and of the simple, tasty flavours of our grandmother’s kitchen.

“… This salami is easy to prepare, with ingredients that you find in the store cupboard, a small packet of dry biscuits that we called ‘marie’ biscuits, butter, bitter cocoa powder and sugar.”

Giulia made her chocolate salami directly on the SapienStone work surface with its Calacatta texture and natural finish.

“I crushed the biscuits, mixed butter, sugar and eggs, covered everything with cocoa power and then I gave the surface a quick wipe down with a sponge to make everything clean again, ready to take new photos.”

Why not check out her blog Jul’s Kitchen for the full recipe for this tasty treat?
