SapienStone at Milan Design Week 2018: two events to present kitchen countertop innovations.

2018-05-03 The experience of the SapienStone brand at Milan Design Week 2018 was a resounding success: in the week dedicated to design and furniture innovation, SapienStone found the ideal setting to present itself once more to sector professionals and the general public, with products that are the result of innovative research.

The brand’s presence at two nerve centres of Milan Design Week, Rho Fiera andPorta Nuovashows the development of SapienStone and how the brand occupies a privileged position in the kitchen countertop segment.

SapienStone at Salone del Mobile 2018

Every year the Salone del Mobile attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors, both to the trade fair and to the numerous satellite events that spring up all over Milan.
This year the Iris Ceramica Group, the holding specialised in producing high range porcelain, of which SapienStone is a member, exhibited in a collective stand offering visibility to the various brand groups.
The “Wellness, salus per aquam”, stand designed by the Archilinea studio occupied a total of 200 m2 on two levels and was part of the International Bathroom Show.
The upper floor displayed the SapienStone countertop in a Brown Earth finish featuring an integrated TPB Tech induction cooker, complete with latest-generation induction elements and touch controls, produced in partnership with the Spanish company Top Porzelanik Barcelona®.
A chef chosen by the company showed the incredible practicality and functionality of the countertop, alternating cooking demonstrations with breaks.
Visitors could see how the countertop has a dual nature, one for cooking and the other as a table and is the ideal solution both for compact spaces and for those who love open spaces and are looking for multifunctional furniture. The beauty of the countertop does not fade over time, as it is resistant to heat, to temperature changes, stains, acidic products and corrosive agents. It is easy to maintain, hygienic and safe, and the surface only heats up when in contact with a pan.

The aesthetic impact of the display was appreciated by those who love a more minimalistic and rigorous design, who saw that this SapienStone product combined avant-garde high-tech with formal purity. The TPB tech® induction cooker combines perfectly with the SapienStone countertop for a surprisingly beautiful effect.



SapienStone at The Mall

Not only at the trade fair!
SapienStone took part in the exhibition and event “The future of living and the planet of the future” atThe Mall.
Curated by Stefano Boeri Architetti for“space &interiors 2018”, the exhibition interpreted living on Mars, the red planet, one of humanity’s possible future destinations.
The Mall in Porta Nuova housed an atmospheric display that introduced carefully selected companies from the architecture and interior design sector to a coordinated vision of the future, communicated through finishes, solutions and materials.
The inclination towards research and experimentation of innovative solutions that has always been a part ofSapienStone was the perfect complement to an event that attracted the most visionary brands in the sector, and was expertly curated.
At The Mall SapienStone was present with an oval installation in porcelain with an integrated TPB tech® induction cooker. The finishes were from the inspired by oxidised metal, which is changeable and full of different shades, creating a kitchen with an industrial atmosphere. The SapienStone countertop was in elegant Malm Grey and the induction cooker was in striking Malm Black.
The backdrop to the island was SapienStone Brown Earth, whose texture reinterprets the timeless appeal of stone.

The SapienStone countertop was completely integral to the immersive atmosphere of the exhibition space and demonstrated its high-tech performance, flexibility and exceptional design.
Visitors saw the countertop being used by a chef, who showed how practical it was to use and easy to clean.

These were two important events at MDW2018 for the brand, which made its exclusive debut at Cersaie 2016, and showed that in just two years it has made a concrete contribution, by brining innovative technical and aesthetic advantages to the world of kitchens.
